image

This pagoda which faces east is one of those which were built in the Thayekhittaya Pyu Period. On the walls are niches and plaster moldings of the period. The ancient Pyu technique of arch-making with wedges is noticed here. More artistic decorations are found at this pagoda than at any other monument of this period. Slightly bigger than Bei Bei pagoda, it measures 27 feet long and 24 feet hight. It is a prototype of early Bagan architecture.

The date and the donor are unknown.
